Our industrial fire shutters are similar to the standard roller shutters we produce, with some key differences. They have thicker gauge materials and an all steel component construction, and their motors and controls are linked into the fire alarm system, so they are activated in the event of a fire or drill.
Some benefits of industrial fire shutters:
The middle picture below is an installation we carried out at M&S Cold Distribution Facility in Enfield in Autumn 2015 on a partition wall. In the event of a fire the entire warehouse would be split into two halves, limiting any damage costs which would amount to millions of pounds in damaged food stock.
Fire roller shutters are a cost-effective way of securing an opening to reduce the spread of flames and smoke if a fire breaks out in your premises. They enable you to section areas of a factory or warehouse off, so that if a machine or materials catch fire only one part of the building will be affected. They also give emergency services more time to respond before the condition of the building deteriorates dramatically.
Our fire shutters can be fitted to any shape or size opening, and are further customisable with the option of powder coating in any RAL colour.
